Introduction to GIS

Curious about GIS?  Why use GIS in your class or your studies, teaching or office?  This workshop provides an overview of Geographic Information Systems including basic concepts to practical analytical applications.  Hands on exercise using ESRI’s ArcGIS will explore new ways to look at data beyond the abilities of Google Earth.

Introduction to Geographic Information Systems (GIS) :

General introduction to GIS and the valuable GIS resources available on campus including software, online course access and more. The workshops are hands-on, so participants will have a chance to use GIS software and data related to the workshop topic.

All workshops are in the Keck Learning Room of Honnold/Mudd Library.
