GIS Day — Wednesday, November 15, 2006

A global event, GIS Day is celebrated annually in countries around the world. Visit Honnold/Mudd Library to learn how geography and geographic information system technology can make a difference in our lives.

Events we have scheduled for that day:

  • 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.:
    • Map gallery, Geocache, and geography quiz
    • Honnold/Mudd Library south lawn
  • 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.:
    • Geocache Huntbring your GPS
    • Honnold/Mudd Library south lawn
  • 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.:
    • Software demonstrations
    • Across from the Services Desk inside Honnold/Mudd Library
  • 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.:
    • Faculty presentations on the use of GIS in teaching and research
    • Honnold/Mudd Library Founder’s Room
